My first felt project

I completed my very first project using felt yesterday. It wasn't for me nor for Daniel but I made it for my BFF's daughter who turns 1 year old today.

It took me day to complete given my situation - pregnant, with a toddler, full time domestic duties.

In summary, to make this project you need: A can with lid, colored felt, needle, thread of contrasting color than the felt, lace, cotton cloth, hot glue, glue stick, and UHU stick, measuring tape, ruler, scissors, and some skill to sew in a straight line.

Tips:
1. To hold the cloth in place, use the UHU stick. It leaves a smoother surface than using hot glue.
2. Make sure you have enough [hot] glue stick. There's nothing more annoying than to have to stop the project midway bcos you're outta glue (I misplaced mine, same thing).
3. Lined the inner wall first before the base. Glue along the top rim before securing the base.
4. Stitch all sides before glueing the cloths to avoid fraying.

I'm definitely making another one for myself. I already took a can from Mak's house today, ngehehe..

Happy Birthday Sarah. A girl is never too young to have her own personalized jewelry box :)
